Defected Lawmakers: If you want to know what Rivers people think about you, go to the streets, Gbara

The State Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Sydney Tambari Gbara, has criticized members of the State House of Assembly, calling them an "illegal assembly." He claims that these members are facing several cases in court that question their legality, and they should address these issues instead of attempting to make decisions for their constituents.

Gbara also suggests that the assembly members should go to the streets to find out what the people of Rivers really think about them, as their actions and laws are not legitimate in the eyes of the people they are supposed to represent.

According to The Sun, Gbara said, “You have several cases querying your legality in courts. Why are you running away from them? You are here constituting public nuisance, engaging in illegal assembly, taking illegal decisions and making illegal laws, knowing full well that you no longer represent your constituents. If you want to know what Rivers people think about you, go to the streets and ask questions. You are an illegal assembly and your laws are inconsequential to the Rivers people.”
