Mateo Kovacic has agreed personal terms of his contract with Manchester City, according to Fabrizio Romano.

"Mateo Kovacic has now agreed personal terms with Manchester City after advanced talks already revealed last week," Romano tweeted.

"Kovacic wants the move, next step has to be between clubs as Chelsea and City will discuss fee after the UCL final.

"Chelsea, open to sell Kovacic."

Previous reports suggested that Chelsea would accept ₤35m for the player whose contract runs out in 12 months.

The player himself has hinted that after five years at Stamford Bridge, the time might be for him to move on.
